My career in real estate sales began way back to 1989 as an agent for Coldwell Banker/Loadholt Realty located in North Charleston, South Carolina. At that time I was also enlisted as an IC3/SS on-board the USS Von Steuben SSBN 632 (Gold Crew). I was able to get my feet wet in real estate, and under the tutelage of Liz and Boyd Loadholt, was one of the top new agents in the Tri-county area. After a couple of year’s the needs of the navy were that I transfer, and I was forwardly deployed to Guam and assigned to the USS Holland AS 32. I put real estate on hold and did my duty. I took up sailing, worked on my education and traveled a lot. In 1994, I transferred to Naval Weapons Station Concord, CA. and was attached to the Service Response Force for NBC casualties under the command of a civilian director, Mr. Jerry Wills. While there, I attended Mount Diablo College in Concord, CA, studying business and real estate. In 1997, I rotated back to sea duty onboard the USS Dallas SSN 700, a fast attack submarine deployed from Groton CT. I was attached to the Dallas for five years and then in 2002, I transferred to Basic Submarine School where I taught prerequisite electronics to new electronic technicians on their way to the fleet. I was an Electronics Branch Chief by this time, and was responsible for the proper board, training, quality of life, and administrative duties for up to 1200 students and 24 instructors under my charge. In May of 2005, I left the military. Over the next year, I self studied, and passed the series 7, (Stockbroker), and the series 63, (CT securities), exams, plus the CT Life and Health Insurance Producer exam. In 2006, I worked for a large securities firm selling insurance and investment planning. In 2007, I decided to take a job working for a military contractor servicing the 1109th CT Army AVCRAD in Groton CT. The company had a great reputation and super benefits, and I enjoyed working in a military environment. But, due to needs of my family I needed to leave that job and move to Peoria, Illinois. My family and I have been living locally in the Peoria area, since 2008 and I have re-established my career as a real estate professional. My life experience has made me an ideal choice for marketing your property. I understand what it means to have to sell and move due to job or family needs. I also understand how it impacts your family and that you need a smooth transition.
